Pawna Lake Camping
Pawna Lake Camping is Mumbai Trekizens' classic 1N/2D getaway to the tented shoreline of Pawna Lake, near Lonavala — one of the most popular monsoon and weekend escapes for young groups, college friends, and first-time campers. After a comfortable drive from Mumbai, you check into twin/triple-sharing dome or Swiss tents pitched right by the water, with the rest of the afternoon free to soak in the lake views, click photos, and settle in before the evening's main event. As the sun sets, the campsite comes alive with a bonfire, DJ music, and a buffet dinner served under the open sky — the reason this spot is a favourite for groups wanting a fun, high-energy night out. Those who want a calmer pace can simply relax by the fire with friends. The next morning opens with tea and, for those interested, optional water activities like kayaking on the lake, followed by a hearty breakfast before checkout and the return drive to Mumbai by early evening.
Highlights
- Bonfire with DJ and music through the evening

- Easy, no-fitness-required weekend getaway
Who is this for?
